Default Typical day in military medicine?

How does a normal day play out? Is it the same routine?

Default

depends on your duty station and assignment

assuming you go active duty:

you may be assigned to work in a clinic on post.

you may be deployed as a physician and work in a hospital in a combat environment

OR you could be assigned as a military officer in a medical unit (like hospital administration in the civillian world) stateside or overseas...

if you go NG or reserve, you'd be responsible to show up to drill during which you would be at the ready to see soldiers with medical issues... essentially clinic type stuff. sometimes you may be tasked to administer vaccines or conduct health assessments for soldiers in other units. if you were to deploy with the NG or reserve, you'd be subject to any of the aforementioned duties listed above for active duty docs.
