Default PhD in Biophysics?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could speak on any classes or experiences that aided them in completing a PhD in Biophysics - or if you could point me to any researchers in the field whom I could do summer research with. I'm interested, but I don't have a lot of experience in the field (just with electrophysiology - which is tough enough as it is). I'd like to get my feet wet a little more before I actually start applying in a couple years.
