First and foremost, I am unsure if I should even apply this cycle. I am going into my junior year this fall, but as far as credit-wise, I'd be a 2nd-sem junior, possibly. My university has a 3-in-1 program with UTHSC College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN, but I don't know if many other schools will accept me without a Bachelor's. I do know that I could apply to many schools, but I'm more worried about getting accepted. Because I can just as easily take my DAT this summer, do well, and just apply next year. I do know someone who was accepted last year to Memphis because his OC score on the DAT was "unusually high." So it does seem possible to be accepted--however rare. So I guess really what I'm asking is: Should I still apply to maybe a couple of schools who do not require Bachelor's anyway? If so which ones, can I? Or should I wait until I take my DAT (late July) and then depending on scores turn in app or wait until next year? Thoughts and advice?? Thank you! |

My gpa is a 3.9. Thank you for the advice! I may just apply to Memphis since my school has a program with that school, but not apply to other schools. If I get high enough on DAT, I may get in a year early. If not, I'm not really losing anything, but money for applying, and that's no problem.

Hmmm...with your gpa you could get in with a decent 20dat score even if you take it in August. I mean you are not a shoe in because of the delay bit still you have good chances.
If $ it's a concern apply next year if not ...gamble on the dat score & apply now Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk |
