So, I'm currently an undergrad considering majors. For awhile I've been double majoring in Anthropology and Biology, but lately I've been revisiting the whole childhood dream to work in medicine. I have all the classes to drop Anthro (or at least minor), and still major in bio and apply to med. But I have a few questions for those of you already doing this. I love working with people, helping them and also problem solving. Is this enough to cancel out my absolute loathing of physics? How much do Chem/Physics count in med school? What more can I do now to prepare myself for med/MCAT? If I really, really, really want this, and I don't get accepted anywhere, what are my other options for the medical field? Thanks! |

The first thing you should do is use the search function because every question you've asked has been covered repeatedly on SDN

Chem and physics count for nothing in medical school; they're weeding courses only. However, you do need to show adcoms you can handle large amounts of difficult material.
