I interviewed for the Maine Track in Feb., then was deferred. I haven't seen anyone post a change in status for the Maine Track on this forum since Feb. I looked at last year's Maine Track forum, and it seems like most folks who were deferred got a waitlist notification after May 15th, and a few folks got accepted off the waitlist right before school started. I'm sure not everyone is on the SDN forum and that every year is different; however, I'm hoping someone will share some good news soon to boost my spirits.

I can't seem to find a breakdown of the 2013 match list on the Tufts website. Anyone have a link?

^ is there a source for this? I saw this list in the match thread, and was trying to figure out where it came from/verify it.

I just assumed that person was a medical student at Tufts, since the list isn't really around online. I doubt someone would make up the list, haha. Sorry I don't have a source!

Got my financial aid offer. $0 grants. $80K loans. $1500 work study. Also, living expenses estimated to be $18K which seems quite low for downtown Boston.

Got the paper offer in the mail.

Interviewed in October, deferred in December, waitlisted today. Not too optimistic about my chances, but I do really like the school. Here's hoping the waitlist moves quickly!

For those in the Maine Track-I got a letter a few months ago awarding me the Maine Track Scholarship, but I just received my financial aid package and its no where to be seen. Is anyone else in this position?

Hey, if you're like me and by May 14 you still have not received your fin aid award by snail mail, you can call and they will email it to you.

Not sure why they don't email it in the first place....but anyway, fyi.

Did you withdraw your acceptance via e-mail? Just want to double-check because they haven't replied to my e-mail and I want to make sure they know.

You can actually go to the Tufts Secondary log-in website, log in, then click on the tab for "Secondary App." On the left side there is a link for Withdraw Tufts Application. I did it that way.

Quick question-

It looks like the Facebook group for the class of 2017 has more members than the actual class size. Are all of the people in the Facebook group actually enrolling? I'm not sure how the Facebook group thing works so I apologize in advance if this is a silly question. I am one of several others on the wait list at this school so I am just trying to adjust my expectations. Thanks!

don't worry too much about the size of the fb group. A lot of the people in the group are current dental/med students trying to sublease their apartments for the summer.

waitlists suck. I'm sure we can all relate. good luck!

I was told on the phone that if you withdraw by the 15th then they are automatically refunded to you.

For what it's worth, I called the Boston office this morning and they said that there has not been any waitlist movement yet. However, I'm not sure that means anything or should be cause for alarm. Looking back over the past several years of this thread, it seems like Tufts never starts sending out acceptances off the waitlist until the very end of May/early June. Perhaps they have a committee meeting around that time (vs automatically sending out acceptances ~May 15th). So if that trend remains constant for 2013 then of course there hasn’t been any waitlist movement yet and the admissions staff member's comment was not particularly enlightening (or, to be fair to her, maybe I didn't ask the right question....)

To follow up with that thought, here are the dates of the past several application cycles when a waitlisted Tufts SDN student first got an acceptance call from Tufts (note: obviously SDN isn't an ideal/accurate barometer, so take this for what it is):

Thurs 5/28/09
Tues 6/1/10
Tues 6/7/11
Thurs 6/21/12

The wait-list email suggests we might not hear back until mid june - july. hopefully it's earlier than that though.

Offers of admission may be extended to wait-listed applicants at any time prior to registration; however, we expect that the majority of the offers made to wait-listed applicants will occur between the middle of June and the end of July.

This may be a silly question, but I can't find a group on facebook for the class of 2017. Do you have a link for it? I would like to join since I'll be there in the fall and am trying to figure out housing!

I called admissions this morning, asked if there's been any waitlist movement, and was told, "Some." This is an upgrade from "No" during similar calls over the past few weeks.
