Default Improvement Potential

I am currently enrolled in a Kaplan Classroom Anywhere course. I am taking the class because I got a 22 on my first test with only EK books and need a big improvement. I want a 30 at the very least. If I stay committed and do most if not all of the assignments, problems, and tests. Would this be a reasonable realization that I can gain a 30 or higher score? How much improvement have other people shown by taking a Kaplan course? Thanks for your help.

The limiting factor is your own intelligence and work ethic. Kaplan can get you a 45 if you are capable of a 45.

Exactly!

This is the issue with all test prep companies. They can only bring you to your potential, but that can't create that potential.

They insinuate that they, the test prep companies, can help anyone get their dream score.

I'm not saying that you can't achieve your dream score, but no prep company can make that dream appear out of a study schedule.

FWIW, one of my friends increased his score from a 30 to a 38 after going through the Kaplan course.

I agree with what MedPR and Reggie said, though. It really is what you put into it.

He didn't just show up for the course and do the assignments. He was organized, took thorough notes, and circled back to the topics on his own that he was having the most trouble with. If you work hard and prepare, you'll get to where you want to be. But it may require a few months of not going out so much.

The practice tests are a good indicator of how you'll do on the real thing, so make sure to measure your progress.
