Thanks, Hawkteeth! It was in my mailbox a little after midnight. My internet wasn't working and I just had a feeling, so I worked to get the router back up- and there it was.

Congrats To You Guys....Just Not The Answer We Were Looking For.

Some of you have mentioned that you have not received the emails we sent out Friday. I'll check on Monday about this and may wind up resending letters out if it seems that our mailing server didn't do its job.

Does anyone know how long after our offer of acceptance will we receive our mail packets?

Hey Dr Chuck!
So now that the emails have been sent out it fill the remaining spots, what should those of us still in continuing review anticipate happening from this point forward? Are you waiting to hear back from those who you emailed and then get together to make the waiting list? When the wait list is determined will we know where we are in line? Thanks for keeping us all so updated on here, hopefully more schools follow suit.

Letters to those who should have received them are being sent by email again.

I am not sure exactly when you should receive offer packets as it depends on the postal service. I'm pretty sure they picked up the packets on Friday for the most part. People who are closer sometimes may get their packets today, but others might take a little longer. If you don't get your packet in a week, email us.

check your spam box everyone. I found my alt letter in there.

Alternate list offer... Does anyone know how many people are on the alternate list and if it moves? If I remember correctly not many people get in off the alternate list.

In the same boat. They don't do the rankings until after 4/30 - at that point I'm assuming we'll be told our rank (but maybe not). Then it's just the waiting game hoping a spot will open up. for a high ranking!

they do provide us our ranking on the alternate list.

Probably not, the deadline was yesterday now they have to rank us.

Well yesterday on their Facebook page he made mention that rankings were done, "top alternates" had already been contacted and additional offers would go out today. I was curious if everyone receives some sort of notification - thus eliminating the possibility of not getting an email at all like what happened last time for several people.

Bummer, no email for me yet...

We still have one final ranking vote to take. We have to break some ties. The top alternates though were contacted. Everyone else on the alternate list may have to wait a bit.

Deadline to respond to offers is May 15.

We will try to contact everyone who has opted in to be on the alternate just to re-affirm we have received their interest. We will let you know if you are in the top, middle, or lower third of the alternate list if you email us at dentadmit . That said, I am repeating that the deadline to respond to offers is May 15 so I cannot say anything about "chances" until then (and even so, it's not always easy to predict).

Until such time as a new header for the class of 2018 appears in the School-Specific section, we are encouraging serious applicants for Case to review the materials we have been posting on our ADEA GoDental Virtual Fair briefcase, our Facebook page, and on our website. This includes presentations on suggestions for strong letters of evaluation and being prepared for the application process.

The Office of Admissions at Case School of Dental Medicine is hosting its Countdown to AADSAS 2014 webchat for all prospective applicants. Ask your questions about "what happens next" in the AADSAS process, and we hope this session will help address your anxieties about the mysteriousness of how schools select students for interviews.

The webchat is scheduled online for 5:00 pm Eastern Time on Saturday, June 1, 2013. We ask that individuals with webcameras try to log in at least 15 minutes before to account for technical check-in. This session is intended to last at least until 7:00 pm ET, but we can remain until all questions are presented and answered. The weblink will be posted on our Facebook and Twitter feeds (and on this forum) in late May.

If you are joining us via webcam, please have earbuds with microphones ready to reduce ambient noise or echo in the communication. A regular chatroom is also available for those without webcameras or those who are more restricted in bandwidth, but note that those who are on camera will likely receive more attention unless you type in questions in the chatroom.

To prepare for this webchat, it is expected that attendees have reviewed all available videos and presentations posted on the ADEA GoDental site, including recent presentations from the 2013 Dental School Virtual Fair. It is expected that for questions specifically pertaining to Case School of Dental Medicine that you have thoroughly reviewed the materials left on our Virtual Fair booth and on our website. We also welcome advisors and future applicants to this session.

Please note that the webchat will be recorded for program assessment, research, and convenience to those unable to make this session. Please note that due to our bandwidth restrictions, we may wind up limiting individuals who will be on camera. The server can handle no more than 200-250 people online at once in our room.

A small edit to our presentation on preparing for the application process made, including some updated (though still not final) statistics regarding the entering class of 2013 (DMD 2017).

Were these offers sent by email? I was notified that i was in the top 3rd of the alternate list and am wondering how many offers were sent out yesterday and in what format. I was really hoping I'd have gotten one! Thank you

Those who were extended offers from the list were sent emails and will receive packets. They also got a phone call from me (as per what was mentioned when you signed up to be on the alternate list).
