I am in the process of setting up my 4th year electives for IM and would like to compile a list of IM programs that offer free or highly discounted student housing for rotating medical students? Preferably, programs that also offer complimentary or discounted meals? If so, can you please list the program, location, and cost? And if you are currently rotating there (or have in the past) if you would recommend it or not? Thanks so much! |

Stamford CT has free housing and food for rotating medical students, as far as I understand it.

I love medical school. Vaccines are one of the great triumphs of medical science. They cost little, have few side effects, are incredibly safe, and they don't cause autism. If they just made free beer, they would be perfect. Green our vaccines? They only green you will see by getting rid of vaccines or decreasing their use is the grass growing on the graves of children needlessly killed by preventable diseases. -Mark Crislip, MD |

Summa lets you stay in some old nursing dorms and gives you some free food (Akron, OH).
