I am planning on doing an externship during Christmas break and I was looking at some omfs programs and realized that some of the program (LSU, Parkland) ask for your class rank. They want you to be in the top 1/3. When you apply for the externship at these 2 programs, do you really have to be in the top of your class to get accepted? I did one externship already and they didn't ask me about my rank. Any info will help Thanks |

Thanks, that really makes me feel better. To follow up, how soon do I need to apply for the externship at LSU or Parkland for Christmas? I was going to do it in September when I receive my NBME score. Let me know if I should apply early.

Are there any internship opportunities for first-year dental students?
