When you answer your friends when they ask you why you want to be a doctor, do you find that it differs with the perfect answer to "why medicine?" you've been mulling over since you first read about the medical school admissions process? I have attempted to answer this question hundreds of times in the past two years, and for me, there are countless dimensions to address the question from, and thus my answer varies from situation-to-situation. But I try to pick the answers that I really believe in the heat of the moment, and they're usually not exactly what I would want to say in an interview, because I really have nothing to prove when I talk to my friends. They're from the heart, but they're just not as developed as the thoughts I'd want to share with an admissions committee...

I'm curious about your experience with this scenario.

Buy a house. Then you get the added bonus of having to do chores and maintenance.
