I'm in a 6 year program and it is really tough. Nothing is being cut out of the program so it is very difficult. I wonder what they are adding to make it into 7 years but I hope they are stretching the program out. Also..way too many people are saying negative things about the field of pharmacy so look into other options.

At this point, there are only a few 0+6 schools left. There are, however, numerous 2+4 schools so if you don't mind taking the PCAT, try one of those. I have only heard the 7 year (3+4) rumor on SDN but it really wouldn't surprise me with biochemistry now on the PCAT. I know OSU and a couple other schools only accept BS or better applicants. Pharmacy programs change yearly so keep an ear out for program changes in schools you really want to attend. Anything can happen from now to 2014 so I can't really offer a prediction, but the schools I'm applying to still accept pre-pharmacy students so that's certainly a good sign if you want to graduate ASAP.

Yes I've been wanting to go to STLCOP since last year and just recently found out about the change so I'm trying to consider other options but I live in Kansas and really wasn't wanting to go to NY or Massachusetts
