Default PAT question

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
I have a 17 PAT but good science and 21AA. GPA is around 3.8. I am happy with my AA and science but not sure if the 17 PAT will be a problem. I heard some schools have a cut off but all say 17 or higher. However I am not sure and getting worried. Can someone please advice. Are there schools that dont look at PAT as much.

Thanks

Depends on the school. Some schools, like mine, really want a high PAT (average around 20-21). Some schools, like Columbia, don't really care if the AA is high (which 21 isn't high for Columbia, but it is high for most schools).

Your GPA and AA together make you very competitive. Call the schools you're interested in and get their opinion.

Thank you for your reply. Would you happen to know what schools are not so hard on PAT. I tried to look but didnt find much information.

Thanks

I wouldn't re-take if I were you. You are competitve for at least your state school and maybe a few private schools as well.

17 Is usually the minimum score accepted at most schools...with those stats that score will be overlooked very quickly, I wouldn't worry.
