I did TERRIBLY! It was like a nightmare. I knew at the end I should have voided but I was too curious/stubborn so I didn't. My nerves really got to me during the test as well, so for those taking on saturday remember to keep calm!

My prediction is a 8/9/10, I'm gonna prepare for a retake in March or April

What'd you do the day before? I want to check out my test center, but it's 45 minutes from me so that's not really an option.
If you have a smart phone or GPS use that. I had Google maps and it led me to the right location without a hitch. I woke up 2 hours before my exam (this doesn't apply to you) and I ate adequately.

Definitely bring snacks because you will get hungry and what helped me was just keeping to myself. I didn't even make small talk when I got there early, just focused on the task.

Also try going to sleep 1 hour before you mean to. I went to bed at 10 but probably didnt fall asleep until 11 due to nerves.

Good luck and I know you'll do great!

good luck bro, I felt VR was a little harder (guess I'm in the minority here). My confidence is fluctuating..I don't like this hah.

And I maybe slept 3 hours, nerves kept me going though so fatigue wasn't an issue.

I just wanted to say congratulations to all of you who finished your MCAT's today and I will be hoping that all of you achieve your goal scores. You all worked so hard and deserve to have one more milestone out of the way on your medical school applications.

Just finished my last practice test, AAMC 10, and scored a 31 (12/9/10).

Despite the 9 on VR, I actually feel as if I did quite well because I literally BOMBED an entire passage within it, yet did well on the other 6. Did my best ever on general chemistry and physics, and not my best on BS. However, overall I scored 119/144, which is only 4 less questions right than my AAMC 9 score of 35.

So, with 2 days to go, my full length practice tests amount to this:

AAMC 11 (taken last september): 28 (8/10/10)
AAMC 3 (taken last October): 27 (9/8/10)

Taken between December 2012 and now
Kaplan FL 1: 32 (9/11/12)
AAMC 4: 31 (11/10/10)
AAMC 8: 30 (10/9/11)
AAMC 9: 35 (11/10/14)
Kaplan FL : 33 (11/9/13)
AAMC 7 31 (10/10/11)
AAMC 10: 31 (12/9/10)

With an initial goal of 30+, I feel really good about Saturday, and I feel that if I have a good day and perform well I can be pushing 35 on this, which would definitely make all of this hard work pay off.

Going to rest and relax until this long ride is finally over with on Saturday. Best of luck to you all, and congrats to those who finished today!!

It was a little bit of both.

Timing was definitely an issue - For PS I finished with like a minute to spare, only reviewed 1 marked question. For VR, the beginning went really well but I think I spent too much time on a couple of passages and subsequently I had little time for passage 7 and had to guess on most of the answers. For BS I had about 3 minutes to spare at the end, reviewed most marked questions but went through them really quickly (i.e. opened a question, said "yeah I dno" and went on to the next one).

I ended up guessing a lot on the sciences, probably 15 questions for PS and 10 for BS. Though I was usually able to eliminate at least one answer choice.

The more I think about the test the more I'm convinced it was nerves getting to me. The questions weren't that bad, mostly just convoluted wording. But I found I was forgetting equations, second guessing myself, and I would think about voiding then what I would have to do in the next coming months and planning my schedule (all whilst trying to do a calculation lol).

This month is gonna suck. I think I'll take a 2 week break though

Guys... I don't know what's going on but I feel like I'm completely falling off the ball...

I took my last practice test today AAMC 5, and I got a 11 on VR because I didn't answer some questions. I left them blank without marking a choice. It's not that I didn't know them or something, I just completely did not read or see them. I don't even know how it's possible to make a mistake like that.

Yeah man you're fine. If you could pull of an 11 while missing questions then you'll do very well. Just remember when you're reviewing all the questions on that review page (after passage #7) make sure that it says you answered all the questions, then go on to review the marked ones.

Have you been getting enough rest?

I just took my last (#9) and did not do well. I suppose I'm going to need a little luck Sat.

so weird because for me I finished with almost nine minutes left and got to go back to the first passage (thank god because I totally misread it initially), and I always finished with time running out on practice tests. Though I did get rushed in VR, and BS was standard (finished with ~5). I guess I had more concentration/felt comfortable? Who knows.

Haha, I said I wouldn't be back until after my test, but honestly it's a habit coming to these forums...

Doesn't seem like there were horror stories like I was predicting. Who knows, maybe us Saturday takers will be the victims.

Yeah, I took AAMC 10 and that one verbal passage just completely crushed me. I think it was passage VII that just sort of came out of left field, and I was lucky to get 3/6 on that one. It was really depressing, because without that one passage it would've been by far my best FL score.

Now we must all wait 30 more days. I cant sleep. I was actually able to sleep better before taking the MCAt than after. I must do good at least a 8/8/8. My dad and sis think I bombed it, I told my sis I think I did okay probably a high 20 or 30 and she give me a look.

I was talking to my dad abt a question I miss and goes on to say how you must take A and P before the MCAT.

I hope I do good, just to prove it to them.

Also I felt I did good, I notice after the test the proctor lady and a necklace with a cross, it give me reassurance that God heard my prayers abt the exam and guided me in the way I wanted to be guided.

Im going to keep studying until the scores come out. I am going to spend the next month focus on physiology and orgo reactions.

I will read through my PR Physiology book very slowly and will write down an orgo rxn at least 3 times a week... I will understand that reactions like orgo is my native language.

Goals of the Day
Luminosity
1 VR passages
Hydrocarbon Combustion Rxn in BR book
I have finally decided and I am going to use Br for my retake most definite.
And I am going to do a weekly Orgo Rxns.

I know that I most def. got 10 wrong on BS and 3 wrong on PS. I can never know for VR but I think I got 12 or less than 12 wrong.

I think there is value in taking, say a week, then hitting it back hard. The cliche of it being a marathon is true. Personally, I know my mind retains less and less as the studying goes on each day. Recognizing this makes it best for planning breaks.

Think bang for the buck. You want to spend your time with your mind at optimal peak, no matter if it's working or having fun.

Best of luck and maybe your results in a month will be a pleasant surprise.

Relax my friend. Everything will be alright. Watch TV, play video games, do regular people stuff. You've conquered this obstacle that is the MCAT, now it's time to enjoy life once again. Go out, spend money, do silly things, talk to beautiful women. Do anything to get your mind off of that test.

No. I will not but I think I am going to go to the gym for longer than my daily hour. Today I went to the gym, and I felt calm after. And I had new conversation with a guy ( an old guy, his mother and my grandma were at the same nursing home).

I am not trying to start any relationship at this age, I just feel like most men my age dont want to get married they just want fun and I don't believe in being in a relationship if it does not have a 75% chance of ended up with us married.

I will try to start shadowing soon.

Also I will clean this week and get away from the books.

The thing is, though, you won't actually know if it'll work out until you've invested a significant amount of time and effort into a relationship. Even then, you'll never know if it'll work out til death do you part. People change, **** happens, and sometimes it ultimately doesn't work out.

I find something to do, instead of studying,

I am going to clean the house, I going to clean the grout and every millimeter I can get to.....

After cleaning my house, I should be pretty tired.

So I will just watch tv.

I think it will take me a week or two to get to cleaning every millimeter of my house, after that I am going to shadow or start the every millimeter grout cleaning process over again.

Can I join this group as well? I would love the motivation and to connect with other students!
Totally, for jobs and EC it is so hard to get in some study time.
I get so tired and I need the motivation!!!
