Shenandoah, for example, wants a copy of high school transcripts from applicants without BA/BS degrees according to their website. I called them, and they told me over the phone that they only require high school transcripts from those students who are given interviews. I'd ask UNC what their preference is.

Yeah, for a fact, I know UT advises great caution when considering your AP scores.

my sister is starting UNC pharmacy in the fall and I know she had to send them her high school transcript even after completing an undergraduate degree. As far as AP Credit, I know she got AP Credit from her undergrad university and I think some of that went to UNC, but she didn't get any AP Credit from her university for science classes, so I don't what to say about that, but some schools allow it if you have taken upper-level courses in that same subject. Hope this helps |

Yea, I still don't know why they want your highschool transcript, when you're already in college. About the AP score, I talked to the admission officer couple months ago, and she said that they accept AP scores. She told me to send the score to Pharmcas, but I just found out when I'm filling out my pharmcas application that they don't accept AP score. Talk about confusing

yea i know what you were talking about as far as PharmCAS and not accepting AP scores..they just put the amount of hours that you have for AP scores and then tell you to send the scores to the school..at least they told me that, but the schools i called said to send them to PharmCAS ...confusing to say the least..but oh well, that is life i guess. |

I went to Mercer undergrad. and on there transcripts, the AP scores don't show up, just that i got 17 hrs of AP Credit, so instead of paying the money to have them sent to each school..i just had Mercer send the school a letter saying that I got AP Credit for this class...and they said it was ok..i'm sure they'd be ok with it as long as it came from the Registrar's office Also, at UNC, I think the credits are tied in with the Undergrad. because I know my sister keeps getting sheets of what credits she got from the Undergraduate campus. But i'm sure if you get your undergraduate university to send a letter, you should be ok. UT accepted mine, and that's the only place I sent it, because they were the only ones that needed a score from me. because the other schools I had other classes that filled in for courses. Hope this helps |

vilraj!
That's exactly what I was thinking. It shows on my transcript that I got 2 semesters of Physics due to my AP score. Do you think I still need to get them to send another letter to basically states the same thing that's already on the transcript?

i think PharmCAS should accept it then, especially if it says that you have AP Credit on your transcript and what that credit is for. The only reason I had to send a letter is because all my transcript said was 17 hrs. So, I would suggest just sending your transcripts in, filling out that "completed courses" form on PharmCAS, and they will call you and tell you if something is wrong. They called me and told me about my AP Scores, and so I had the letter sent. But it has a place in PharmCAS where it says "AP Credit" and you can just select that. If they don't accept it, then send the letter. Hope this helps |

I didn't send my scores anywhere. If I remember correctly for each course as your entering the information it asks for number of credit hours and grade. Under the grade drop down menu they had choices such as pass/fail. I thought AP was an option there.
However, I was just checking out the site and it looks like they changed things. It looks like you DO enter the score and then sned scores directly to your pharmacy schools http://www.pharmcas.org/docs/Worksheet.pdf Got to the bottom of page 17. |
