I am a fellow reapplicant.
Things are going much better this time around. I think I'll be choosing from multiple acceptances this year. Also, I think I'll know by October whether I get accepted. Last year was hell, I waited and waited-finally found out in May. This year, I applied in June (rather than October). This year, I'll be able to go to the majority of interviews knowing I have at least one medical school acceptance. This, I hope, will enable me to really be myself in the interviews, as well as to check out the school and feel like I have some choices. Also, I'm applying to a Masters program. All in all, I have to say at this point, I'm not bothered by the failure experience last year. It was very hard to go thru, but I honestly am stronger for it now. I feel confident and sure in who I am and my desire to go into medicine remains strong, failure didn't break me. I know my ability to handle interviews has increased. I'm not freaked out, because I have backup plans. How are things going for everyone else? Reapplicants kick @$$, because we got over some insecurities while reamining strong in our goals, and maybe we're not as cocky as the average pre-med.

My reapplication is going much better than last year's. I already have 3 allopathic interviews, and I'm waiting for AACOMAS to send out my osteopathic applications. This year, I think I'll end up having a choice between osteopathic and allopathic schools.

I did all of those, retook the MCAT, took some more science classes and got a good research position. I just got my first interview, too. I'm excited!
