Default Family Practice Fellowships

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
Can a family practitioner do a fellowship in say, geriatrics? Or something else? I know it would be pointless to do one in pediatrics or something like that, but for the older people?

I can't find info on FP fellowships, so I thought I'd see what you all knew

Thanks!

Ryan

A Family doc can do a geriatrics fellowship, as well as sports medicine, obstetrics, and a few others. You can see the AAFP page about fellowships here
http://www.aafp.org/fellowships/

Also, if you're a D.O., there's the option of doing a neuromuscular medicine fellowship.
