PAT: 18
QR: 21 RC:21 Bio:20 GC:25 OC:25 TS:22 AA:22 Hello SDNers... Here are my thoughts on the DAT that I took today 8/18 and some words of advice: 1) Don't study a day before the DAT - I studied til 2 AM before taking the test today. If you don't take at least a day break I think it's hard to do well on the PAT...b/c it requires alot of concentration and 3-d mental imaging. Man, I'm really bummed about my PAT score but that's just the way it is. 2) Natural sciences: Way easier than Kaplan and Topscore. Way easier. I'll strongly advice people to not stress about it. Focus on the PAT. 3) PAT section went by really fast. The questions weren't that difficult compared to Kapland and Topscore (actually easier) but b/c I was so tired I didn't get to finish this section. But just remember, answer the questions fast - don't lose speed here. 4) Reading comp/QR - not hard at all. I suggest you study very little for this section and focus on the PAT. I can't stress that enough. I'll say practice these sections just to get the timing right. I almost ran out of time on the Reading Comp section. If you guys have any specific questions I'll be more than happy to answer them. My overall GPA is about 3.5 and science GPA probably around 3.5 too. Do you think I have chance getting into UCLA or UCSF (my #1,2 choice schools)? Your thoughts welcome.
