Hi I'm entering my fourth year of undergrad, and I haven't decided whether to apply this year or next year (while taking a year off after graduation)...I'm planning on figuring that out after I take the OAT in mid-September. Thus, I've been trying to get LOR's from TA's/prof's and my optometrist. My problem is this: The letter form says for it to be mailed directly to the School of Optometry, but with my uncertainty for applying this year or the next, I'm not sure what to do. Should I self-address envelopes for my letter writers and have them sign the seal? That way I can hold onto the letter forms for this year or the next. And if I need to send them in this year, I can send the unopened, signed letter in another envelope to the schools. Will that work? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If your school has a rec letter service (where they keep the letters on file), then I suggest using that.

Yeah, I am using my school's letter service. For some reason, however, they only hold UCBSO's letter form (I go to Berkeley) and don't hold other school-specific letter forms...

There isn't a letter form for SCCO. As long as the person writing you a letter of recommendation does so on a school letterhead or professional letterhead, for most schools.
