Default Gre....

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
Right now I am undergraduate at Temple University, my GPA is 3.0 and I am planning to take the GRE in order to get into Podiatry School. Now, my questions are:
1. What scores am I looking for in the GRE?
2. Would it make me more competitive the fact that I speak spanish, portuguese, and a little of french and Italian?
---You know, becuase of the immigration to this country.

Than You

depends on when you apply.....There is a general understanding that most school are moving away from alternative tests and will begin to only accept the MCAT. but as of right now, some schools still do take GRE

i applied to cali and they emailed me back saying they only take mcat scores as of now (which i still have to send). Ive heard other schools only accept mcat, or are moving in that direction. the mcat is going to be computerized soon, so you can take it other than the 2/3 times a year it was previously offered.

It will be offered 22 times a year. DMU and AZPOD will not accept anything but the MCAT also.

I recently spoke with the admissions director at DMU, and she informed me that starting January 1, 2007 they will no longer be accepting alternative tests. So you can still apply with other placement tests (GRE, DAT, etc.) until then. But the admissions committee may ask you to sit for the MCAT and hold your application if they feel it is necessary to fully evaluate you as a candidate. If youre not sure about this, email them and just ask.

No AZPOD still accepts DAT's, check out their website and i've gotten an invite already to AZPOD with DAT's.

Maybe AZPOD needs to clarify this. A applicant posted earlier that they we told not to the DAT by AZPOD and that the website has not been updated. I would call to confirm.
