Default How do you decline/cancel an interview?

I want to do so politely. Do you call over emailing? How do you phrase it? Do you make an excuse or just flat out say: I am going to have to withdraw my application?

Email is fine. Keep it short, to the point. Also go on eras and withdraw your application.

I would recommend calling and cancelling. Just say "I'm calling to cancel my interview." they usually don't ask why, but if they do, you can tell them you are overbooked and you would like to withdraw your application from the program.
