Post competitive?

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
I plan to apply to several GS residencies - mostly NY - and am wondering how competitive my stats are: USMLE1 220; non-AOA with mostly HP and a fair share of H's; good LOR from respected surgeons; 1 publication; couple of years of research?

How reachable are Sinai, Cornell, NYU etc..? what do you think Dr. E??

I appreciate any insight.

Sounds to me like you should at least get interviews @ just about all those places. Your scores on their face would make you very competative (but no lock) for all those programs. For the very top academic programs (MGH,B&W,Hopkins,Duke) you still might be a little short in the #'s game IMHO...... Doesn't hurt to apply though! Best of luck, you can Priv. mail me if you have an ? or need advice on the process.
