Anyone has info on the compensation/salary for ophthal as well as the rank for residency programs in opthal? Also I am just curious how do the different subspecialties for ophthal compare (retina vs cornea vs etc.). How about the kind of recommendations you need to obtain a good residency? Thanks in advance.

It also helps to get a well known faculty to write you a letter.
