Default U of Penn

SDN Members don't see this ad.
For those of you at U Penn med school...
On the requiremnts for applying to U Penn internal med residency it lists step II as one of the requirements, however my med school advised us against taking the step II prior to applying. Is it really a requirement at U Penn, that is, do all the med students take step II prior to applying or is the step II just suggested?
