Any recommendations on a good basic/simple ICU text.
I don't like to read so textbooks aren't really what I'm looking for. I'm also not that smart so I need something really simple. I'm looking for something like a review book or like a Current's Medical Diagnosis and Treatment for the ICU. Mostly, I want to be able to understand pressors, vents, and other basic ICU issues. Thanks.

"The ICU Book" by Marino has been recommended by most people, and even by some of the residents I worked with when I did my surgical ICU rotation.

Yeah, Marino is good; it's not as painful to read as most texts (I hate texts, too)...but someone who was with me on my ICU rotation used a book from the "Recall" series. Have you ever heard of the famous "Surgical Recall"? Apparently there is an ICU Recall too. She used it and said it was very useful, and like the other Recall books, not a tough read...just facts and need to know, practical stuff.
