As far as I know the policy will be in effect until july 1st of next year. My understanding is that the AMSA and friends are working to keep it intact but I'm not sure how much success they're having. They have a running report of their efforts somewhere on their website...if I did not have a massive headache right now I would post the link here for ya
 , but it's not hard to find
