Dont know about lists like that, but there are quizzes that supposedly asess your personality and then compare it to people in various specialties.
Dont remember where they are right off the top of my head, but they have been posted on this site before. |

it was not on the money for me... it gave me things like anesthesiology, ophthalmology, and dermatology -- BORING (to me anyway). at least obgyn & peds were 6 & 7.

I just took that test. Was it me, or did they keep repeating some of the questions?
I am not sure how much value I would place in the results, but it sure is interesting, and I had a good time taking it. It's funny that opthalmology and nuclear medicine tied for 3rd place on my results. Is it a coincidence that I studied physics in undergrad and went on to optometry school? Hmmmm.... |

they TOTALLY kept repeating questions. did they want to see if we answered questions consistently or what? anyway, i think mine came out the way they did b/c i said i wanted a regular schedule with not too many hours. i do, but i would rather do something i'm interested in & work long hours than do something i'm not interested in & have a nice schedule.

well... mine was right on the money and way off at the same time. my top choices are psychiatry, peds, ob/gyn, and surgery. the first two were my #1 and #2 on the list, then ob/gyn was around 10, but all the surgery specialties were at the waay bottom. But in terms of my own personality, i guess it does make sense

The jersey's still got some juice in her and I will wear her every day til August 20th.

Sort of off the topic, but when I saw the tread this is what I thought of:
A couple of years ago there was this "what type of dog are you" personality test circulating among my friends. My friend in med school was rotating through surgery at the time and showed it to some of the residents. In a few hours all the surgery residents had taken the test (it's online) and they were ALL pugs and chihuahuas. Hmmmmmm.

well....mine was close... ob/gyn was 1, ortho 6, but peds was 20. oh well...I'm sure taking it in the middle of the night had some effect.

geez-- i've always said that i DON"T want to be a surgeon, and there it was-- general surgery #1.
ob/gyn, family med, and oncology were all top 10, so that's good. don't quite know what that general surgery thing was doing up there.

Med Onco 2 Emer Med 3 OB/GYN 3 One and threes were on but number two I don't get. Maybe it has something to do with a temp assignment I had in Ambulatory Chemo? I don't know. Well I liked it anyway. TTFN I guess if you take it over just before you have to match it might be different and slightly helpful, hey you never know
