Hey! I am trying to decide if I should apply to NYU and Columbia for 2013, or if they are out of my reach. I noticed you said you got accepted into NYU with a 3.0, I just wanted to make sure that I read it correctly?

Overall GPA is 3.06
Pre-req GPA 4.0
Lots of volunteer experience and shadowing.
I am 27 and have a lot of other work experience as well, but I am a bit discouraged from applying because my overall gpa is so low. The website states their average is a 3.5, but if you got in with a 3.0 maybe I do have hope and should apply. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
