Hey gang, I took AAMC 5 and 4 Verbal of August 1st and 5th 2009 cause initially i was going to take the test on the 25th and i scored 21 on AAMC 4 and 22 in AAMC 5. But since then my raw score has consistently increased by a question or two. I took AAMC 10 VR on August 21st and got a 9. Since then i have made some changes. I am planning to take AAMC 3 VR on tuesday and EK VR 14 tomorrow. Do you guys think it would be worth to retake AAMC VR 4 and 5 since i took them little while ago and did do as well?

did you review what you got wrong/why you got them wrong back when you first took them?

yea, I did review them. Most of the mistakes were not going with the first instinct and not understanding the questions.. I think due to effort of making MI of eac paragraph to understand the passage better as a whole, translating the question into simpler words and then eliminating bad answers (extreme, irrelevent, not mentioned in the passage) and choosing an answer based on understanding of the MI, question stem and first instinct.

My main issue is that I still end up going back too much which caused me to miss easy questions at the end.. so I have told myself that ill mark it and move on. That way I finish the test with few minutes to go and then I can come back to the marked questions. Kinda like playing a game with my mind to resist temptation of going back which caused me to go against my intuition, spending too much time and running out of time for the relatively easier questions.

I first took them on AUG 1st ( aamc 4) and aug 5th (aamc 5) of 2009.
