Has anyone noticed that prescribers are fearing opioids nowadays? In my personal example, I recently reinjured my knee, I've been to my orthopedic surgeon of 5 years like 6 times in the last 2 months.
He put me on ibuprofen (which did work for the inflammation but not sharp pain), then switched to naproxen, then switched to nabumetone, and today first wanted to go with difclofenac and ended up giving me meloxicam. I mean, what is it with this fascination of NSAIDs. Generally when it comes to sharp pain, isn't it better to go with an opioid?
