I'm a recent college grad student! My major is Psychology and minor is Biology. I'm planning to get my Master's in Social Work. Now here is my dilemma, for about 2 years I was my sister's caretaker as she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder - which caused my cumulative GPA to be 3.435, however, my major GPA is much higher. I'm worried about getting accepted into MSW programs in NYU or Fordham because my GPA is so low? For my experiences, they include a field work at a school for developmentally disabled children (geared towards the spectrum of autism) and now my volunteer experience at Bellevue Hospital. I would love to have honest opinions about whether I would be able to get accepted into NYU or Fordham. |

Thanks so much for your response. It brought some hope to me lol. I'm still nervous though because I have been told it is hard and I may not get into NYU's MSW program. I really really do hope you are right!
