Question IMGs & Ophthalmology

I am an IMG with US resident status interseted in pursuiting a residency in Opthalmology. I have a step1 score of 99/244 and am planning to take step2 soon. I have heard that it 's near impossible for IMGs to earn positions in Opthalmology residencies in the US, is it true? If not, what would programme directors want to see in an IMG to be considered for a position in their programmes.

The American College of Surgeons has a searchable database of programs that includes the percentage of IMGs accepted- http://www.facs.org/residencysearch/search/search.html
