Well, got rejected from Harvard but not a huge surprise there. Any updates from anyone else? Wondering if anybody else applied to Hopkins, it's one of my top choices... Good luck!

![]() I applied to the exact same program at Harvard, but haven't received a rejection email. I also saw a couple of rejections posted on thegradcafe. I wonder if this means I still have a shot... |

I applied to the Berkeley MPH in Epi/Biostats and got my acceptance email already. I haven't heard from Davis about the MS program.
Berkeley doesn't offer a ton of support for the MPH financially, unfortunately. But, I'll have to make a decision before April 15th so I hope to hear from Davis by then. GRE: 700V, 700Q, 5.5 AW GPA: 3.88 (history undergrad from Berkeley, later took math/science courses with a 4.0) Work: 2 years health policy, 3.5 years epi research |

I applied to davis mph and haven't heard anything yet either, someone on another thread posted that they were rejected 2/4/11, but I haven't seen any other posts rejections or acceptances! anyone receive any email updates or anything? I'm so anxious. I also wonder how many they will be admitting. Don't know if they are going to increase their class size, I know its been quite small in the past. anyone have any info?

Got a letter yesterday from Yale, in for MPH Biostatistics. Anybody know much about their department? I know YSPH has somewhere between 200-300 students total enrolled.
Stats: 540V, 800Q Applied: Emory(MPH,MSPH), Pitt(MS,MPH), Columbia(MS), Harvard(SM), Johns Hopkins(MSc.), BU(MPH), Yale(MPH), UMass-Amherst(MS,MPH) Accepted: Emory MPH, Pitt both MS and MPH, Columbia MS, UMass-Amherst MS, Yale MPH Rejected: Harvard(SM) Waiting: JHU, BU As of now, deciding between Emory, Yale and Pitt all MPH in biostatistics. Any input or advice between the three schools/depts? Thanks. |

There is someone on the forum getting his PhD from Yale in Epi. I think he goes by "Stories". He's really helpful. Try to find him and he might give you some advice on their program. |

Just got into Harvard. No word on financial aid yet, though.

Decided to bump this thread up for biostat people.
I visited Emory and Yale, yet am still having a hard time deciding between the two. Both offer good programs, can't go wrong with either. Anybody have any thoughts on the programs? Thanks in advance |

I'm looking to get into GWU's biostat MPH program and was wondering what requirements you had fulfilled to get in? Only Calc I&II required? (I completed my undergrad at GW in international relations and econ - not exactly math/sci related). Anything else you can recommend to strengthen my application? GPA/Test scores? Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Is there anyone here who got accepted into the MS, MPH, or PhD program for Harvard, Yale, Hopkins, or UCLA? If so, do you mind posting your stats? I'm trying to figure out if I have what it takes. ![]() Thanks a mil! |
