Default Prelim surgery spots

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
Hi!
I was wondering what are my chances as an IMG of getting a preliminary surgery position during the SOAP with usmle scores of 250 on step 1 and 260 on step 2.
If I match in radiology (pgy2 advanced position), is it helpful during the SOAP?
Thank you

Pretty good at getting a prelim spot, almost definite if you have a spot for year 2. PDs prefer someone they do not have to work for or worry about.
