Can these videos be downloaded to whichever device I want, or do I have to access the website every time I want to view them?

Hi mathdebate, aclandanatomy.com is a web-based product, such that an internet connection is required to play the videos. You have a few alternatives if you're frequently in an environment where web access is an issue:

--download the PDF transcripts of the videos in advance (take the free trial to see how these work)
--though not available with the unique online features (search functionality/email a clip/etc.) you might consider purchasing the DVD version of the site

Thanks!

I've seen a couple of Acland videos several years ago and was impressed with the quality. However, I'm wondering if the level of detail for these videos is useful for surgical residents or if it geared more towards medical students?

Also, how do the online access and DVDs compare to each other? Are they the same or is one longer/more detailed than the other?

Thanks.

Hi peludoguy! The video and narration is the same as in the DVDs. However, the site has added features such as optimized search functionality, a glossary of anatomical terms and their origins, an A-Z index, and pdf transcripts of the videos. In addition, the videos have been split up into individual clips, allowing you to access the exact content that they need at a more granular level.
Surgery residents find that it's a great re-learning tool, even though it doesn't cover every detail of surgical anatomy.
