I couldn't find the answer to this in any of the kaplan notes. But does anyone know the effect of Carbon monoxide on mixed venous oxygen content? Would it be increased because the curve is left shifted and ETC is inhibited from using O2? Or would it be decreased because you can't hold as much oxygen on hemoglobin? I assume that it is the former but can't find a definite answer anywhere.
