Default advice step in 2 weeks need help!!!

Taking step 1 in 2 weeks

6.5 months of studying all of Kaplan, videos, books etc.
Kaplan Qbank 71% overall ( all 46 questions blocks, random and timed) 80% complete
last 8 exams i have 75% average
Kaplan diagnostic 70%
UWSA 1 610 or 620 I dont remember
But every time I do NBME form I bomb it ??? Getting like 450-460s
Should I postpone ???

Hi lavodnas! It depends what score you are hoping for on the actual exam. Your Qbank scores predict you will do well, assuming you are taking timed tests using fresh, random, mixed questions. Perhaps you are reacting to the simulated exam scenario? If you can assess a trend in weaker areas and remediate your errors you should be able to raise those scores. Please keep us posted!

Hoping to get >230, I am an IMG who wants to do surgery. Going to do the Kaplan full sim exam on Friday.

Surgery is quite competitive, as you know, so high scores are important. Please let us know how you did on the sim.

Hello lavodnas,

Sent you a private message. Also, ideally you want your Qbank scores to be in the high 70s to 80s to feel confident that you will score very well on the exam. For surgery, you do want your scores as high as possible to remain competitive.
