As far as I know, there's no hold after interview. It's either one of the 4 lists or a decision pending (because an interviewer didn't submit his recommendation or didn't attend a meeting).

Had my interview today, and I have a crush on the student interviewer!

She was one of those women who appear cold at first but then become friendlier as you talk to them. She is also into research similar to mine and has the same opinion about the biggest problem in healthcare!

She also gave me a neat off-the-wall question about airplanes that was completely different from the regular set of boring questions.

sounds like they need an actual copy of the form then for their records, instead of just saying I want so and so campus....no worries I faxed it in just now, so hopefully there won't be any issues

Got an email saying that I was put on pre-interview hold and that by app would be reviewed a second time once the entire applicant pool had been reviewed....

This doesn't sound too good... is this basically a rejection?? does anyone actually get interviews when they are put on hold like this first??

From previous years, ppl do get pulled off the hold list from time to time. I think it depends on the applicant pool.

yes, you are right.

this isn't a silent rejection. they are just letting you know that you probably aren't going to hear back until feb/march/april........ and this is why. they are just being totally honest.

other schools have similar systems for recycling apps b/4 the interview.... they just don't tell you. if u applied in july and got an invite in march.... u were probably recycled a few times before they decided to make the decision.

If you look at the first post on this page of the thread I asked the same question :P

P.S. I still don't know the answer.

For those of you who've received acceptances, congratulations!

Did you first find out via your status page, email, or phone call?

I am on pre-interview hold as well. I was honestly starting to feel like it was a silent rejection. But maybe there's hope with so many people on hold.

For those of you who visited the school, and got to learn more about it, would you say the school is very strict about numbers, or do they consider the whold package, personality, and experience. Because my MCAT score is not so great, but I see that people with good scores have been on pre-interview hold as well....just want to know what I am waiting for.

good luck everyone

From what I hear from adcom when I went to their open house, they will consider the whole application, not just numbers. Of course the numbers can't be too bad. Their average mcat is 30. I believe that if the application is very good (high GPA, good EC's, LORs, ...) then a lower mcat score will get an interview because they'll want to hear your story. That's just my opinion though... My mcat isn't great (I got an 8VR) so I'm remaining hopeful.

Sorry, but what is the Medical Science program? I couldn't find it on their website under College of Medicine available programs. The ones I found are MD/PhD and MPH, MSRP and rural.

As this is perhaps the 3rd time I see this question (although I never got it asked during an actual interview), I couldn't help myself but to look up some data.

For Boeing 747-400:
170 m^3 cargo (170000 L)
+876 m^3 passenger (876000 L)
+217000 L fuel
= 1 263 000 L
= 334 000 gallons

From the package, there's a form to fill for the deposit (cc or cheque info) and another form saying yes/no I will attend and yes/no I'd like my email address to be made available to other matriculants. I don't think that you need to rush to send your deposit before receiving the package.

Anyway, it's to 1217 weiskotten hall.
