We used dgsomadmis@mednet.ucla.edu last year...I'm sure it's the same this year.

btw I applied to UCLA as one of my reach schools and would love to go here, but by being a Canadian with a 3.76 cgpa, 3.69sGPA and 31Q (12PS, 8VR, 11BS) with solid EC's (lots of leadership but minimal research) do I stand a chance here?

Good question... I don't think there's anyone from Canada in our first year class and I'm not sure about the other classes.

No. I was ready for some Hollywood-quality MMIing after Davis, but get ready for the lulz... good luck!

You should definitely call them like ASAP. If you have been offered an interview and sent in your preferences a few weeks ago, that to me is already plenty of time and you do not want to run the risk that the confirmation email went to junk email or consequently, that your II got lost in the system.

Good luck! I think you will enjoy MMI.

I'm in the same boat. I also sent an email and got no response. I called and the unfriendly lady told me that it just takes a while and we could be waiting until January. I'm concerned though, because my status page used to have the date of receipt for my letter of recommendation but now it is completely blank.

Are you asking about II or Secondaries? I'm an IS resident and haven't gotten a 2ndary yet either. It's frustrating.

Same exact situation for me - had my primary verified in late June too.

Same EXACT thing happened to me. Sent them an email and no response. This is the only school where the admissions office seems to ignore applicants. Honestly I'm not too impressed with my alma mater.

thank you! I will definitely call them. To the others, I sent UCLA about 4-5 emails with different questions over the past couple months and didn't get an answer to ANY of them. Then I checked my inbox one day and had a II. keep your hopes up!

Are you guys sure you're using the right email address? They wrote me back pretty consistently last year...

I just looked through my emails from last year and I used both somadmiss@mednet.ucla.edu and dgsomadmis@mednet.ucla.edu and also always got a response. Not sure what's going on, but calling about serious issues (like not receiving information about your scheduled interview date...) never hurts!

I did not use the dgsomadmis@mednet.ucla.edu email address, but I agree with the other posts. They do not respond to emails at all. I once notified them of being in the area and did not get a confirmation that they would add my email to my file or anything, which other schools did as an acknowledgement. For my job, I needed a letter from the school verifying that I had been at UCLA on the day of my interview (bureaucratic formality) and emailed them twice about it and did not get anything from them. I ended up submitting a copy of my badge and schedule for the day as proof that I was there.

All in all, I do not know what is going on, but other schools like UC Irvine were on top of those emails and would respond back within 24 hours. I do not know but to me, as a possible medical student at a place like UCLA, it worries me to attend a school where the administration seems to ignore the students' questions in that manner or just seems to filter the important and unimportant ones.

Try checking it without the last 4 digits of the social, that should do the trick.

Any recent IIs been given out? It seemed like UCLA is planning on ending their interview season earlier this year than the last (Jan/Feb vs April) so I am getting a bit concerned. The horizon looks grimmer by the minute.

On the application status page, there is a thing that says "Your Online Forms are Due on:...", are those online forms referring to the Supplemental Information and Letters of Recommendation?

I submitted secondary on October 3 but have heard nothing yet.

Hey, you might have noticed me asking this same question a while back. There never really was a consensus on what that means. I emailed the school but they didn't get back to me. I had my letters and secondary cleared by the time that "due date" arrived, and nothing bad happened...because I just got an interview a few minutes ago! So, as long as the secondary is complete and your letters are received, I wouldn't sweat it. I'm pretty sure it's just the deadline to submit the secondary.

ALSO, for everyone else: Complete 8/13. So even if you submitted ages ago, it's not over yet!!

I just got an invite on Friday and had my interview officially scheduled today. I think they're setting up their interviews for Jan, so maybe you'll get some good news soon. Good luck!

Submitted my secondary in August, and my status didn't change until recently. It said my "disadvantaged status was incomplete". I have no idea what that means or what is wrong! Do any of you? I sent an email to every address I have for them and haven't received a response I'm scared to call because I heard the lady is pretty mean, and I don't want her chewing me out...but I know I need to. What's the best phone number for them? I need to get this resolved!

Does anyone know how to get a student host list? I've been scheduled an interview, but none of the emails contained any information about this.

You need to go to the Secondary Invitation website and there should be a link for "Disadvantaged Information" or something like that. Pretty much you just have to fill out the information in regards to your upbringing such as type of housing you lived, family's income, your work, etc. I believe you just have to submit that information and you should be fine. Make sure you hit submit.

Hope that helps.

Hm, they responded by e-mail to my questions about this pretty promptly, albeit a couple of months ago. But I was so put off by that form that I withdrew from UCLA.

Thank you! For the longest time my status just said incomplete. They finally made a link to the form for me!

I have to agree. The lack of communication and just my whole experience with Geffen so far has been pretty negative. It's turning me off too. Good luck to you with other schools!
