Default Kaplan iPhone Mobile Qbank app - notes and My Questions

Hello! I have a question about the Kaplan mobile Qbank iPhone app.

I discovered it last night and loved it. I've done two or three tests of questions on my iPod now.

But, I noticed when I type notes into a question, or flag a problem for "My Questions", that none of my notes or questions are saved to my online Kaplan profile.

I see all of the tests that I make in my online Kaplan profile, but my notes and flagged questions aren't there.

Is this a known problem with the Kaplan iPhone app? Does anyone else experience this? And is there any way to get my notes and flagged questions from the app into my profile? It'd be a shame to lose three tests worth of question notes.

Hello!

We will check on this for you, though there may be a slight delay due to the holiday. Thanks!

In order to keep the early versions of the app as streamlined as possible we decided not to include a couple of features like broadcasting notes, marked questions and highlight/strikethrough back to Kaplan servers.

We really appreciate receiving responses like this as it helps us decide which features to focus on next!

Thank you for the response.

It's a shame that they don't sync back to the Kaplan account, but the inconvenience is made worse by the app only storing one test's worth of questions and notes at a time.

So the minute you start another test, your notes are gone forever. And there is no way to examine old tests in the app [only take new ones].

Even if syncing is not a planned feature, it would still be useful if notes and flags from previous tests were stored in the app to allow you to review them later. As it is the features are not very practical, as notes and flags are in actual use destroyed not very long after you create them.

Follow up about the iPhone app. I enjoyed using it for step 1 prep and am wondering if you have an app coming for the Step 2 CK qbank?

Hello Sheldor!

It's in the works. We're checking now on a launch date!

Update: We don't have a specific launch date set yet, but will post more information as soon as we can.

We need the app soon please. I already bought kaplan step 2 qbank and realized there is no app for step 2. Being able to use it with my ipad for step 1 was a big factor in me purchasing it!! Thank you.

Hi dAnthony1918 - We do have apps for Step 1 and Step 3. For example:

http://www.kaptest.com/Medical-Licen...le-mobile.html

DaSein77 - We don't have a specific date yet, but it's right around the corner!

Any update on this?

If I do, say 30 question in biochemistry on my phone, and then I go back home and want to continue doing biochem questions, will I be able to easily do the questions that I haven't already done, or does the server not store the fact that 30 of them are already completed?

Also - if I got some of them wrong or marked them, will that info be stored on the server?

If the answer is no to both of these - then can someone explain how the app is useful at all? Seems like it might cause more work instead of less because you would then be repeating questions and/or not have any record of which questions to go over again..

Thanks

Hi MD13,

Actually, you can synchronize the question results to your account so the app is very useful! Please read more:

http://www.kaptest.com/Medical-Licen...le-mobile.html

You can even try it for free!
