question: seems like Case has made a lot of interview decisions this morning, but if we don't get one do schools at least tell you right away, or is it like the thousands of job applications I've done lately and they never get back to you? Thanks

Usually they tell you eventually. I actually received a rejection today from Case because they want me to retake the DAT which Im not going to just for that school with a 19PAT and 20AA I feel fine. There loss

Yeah definitely not worth retaking, I have 20AA too but heard nothing. Oh well plenty more schools

Anyone hear from Colorado yet?

Got my first interview invite from Case today! I'm so excited! Application was mailed 6/27.

CASE! Also excited. 7/4 mail date

Case as well, I was in the first AADSAS batch. Planning on scheduling tomorrow.

Did they flat out reject you? Because i too got a 20AA but they put my application on "hold" because they want me to retake the DAT! I called them and they told me its because one of sections, reading is low. They viewed me as a competitive applicant but ill receive further consideration if i retake the DAT and do better on the reading. But i dont feel like going through it again just for that one stupid section.

But still not a rejection right?

Wouldn't it be awesome if you were allowed one a la carte re-do of just one section of your DAT that you had to take within 30 days of the original DAT and it was double the questions of that section? Of course. But that messes up the whole system. I'm just bitter about my OC score still.

hahaha that would be awesome! at least OC is manageable to improve on in limited time...reading is something you acquire during a lifetime...what bs

Does Case send you a rejection email or an actual letter? I applied in early June..pretty sure I was part of first batch and haven't heard anything other than they have received my application. Im guessing i'll hear back either way soon? Is no news good news?

I'm also missing 1 out of 3 LOEs...I have the 2 from professors in, but waiting on the dentist to submit.

I'm guessing my application is incomplete? I hate that we have so little control over things like this...yet it makes all the difference.

::Edit: I just read this on the AADSAS website...'(Letters of Evaluation are also accepted through ADEA AADSAS, but does not hold up the processing of your application; letters received after your application has been sent to your designated dental schools are forwarded to those schools after receipt by ADEA AADSAS.)'. I am a little less worried about that dragging LOE now.::

If you don't mind me asking...how'd you do on the OC section? That's was my lowest...mostly due to time constraints. (I got an 18...)

Hey i got that email too and i called them and asked and they said reading must be at least 19 or they wont consider our application... lol -.- suks...

that sucks, now im worried because reading was the only section I got below 19 in.

my boi choiboi!!! i always get a little relieved reading your posts man...i feel like a little loner out here sometimes with all these giants lol

anyway back to this case stupidity...they never said that they had a cutoff or suggested scores anywhere! to just pull it on us like this last minute is kind of lying if you ask me honestly man they can go suck it but im just worried about that mentality of schools around

how about UMDNJ/Temple/Maryland/Meharry? I didnt hear anything from them not even requiring secondary fees lol

For the people who are interviewing at Case, when is your interview date? What kind of travel arrangements are you guys doing?

I am on flying in the day before the interview, renting a car, and flying out the night of the interview. I did this for 3 of my interviews 2 years ago and works out pretty well.

I don't believe anyone has heard back from Temple. They are laggin behind. Don't know about the other schools sorry.

i have the same plan...im flying from cali so the prices for air fare are pretty expensive so im still looking into it...do u know where u are going to stay?

interview date is 8/19. flying in day before from cali, flying out the evening of interview date. probably going to take that bus from airport to hotel and maybe taxi to school.

Also flying out from Cali! Going to be flying out from San Francisco. I haven't looked into flights yet, but I hope the timing works out since flight across the country takes a while. My interview is August 15th, and I am thinking about one of the hotels they listed on the link from the email. I will have to look up to see which is the cheapest hotel. I wish I did not have this 10 page paper to write right now.

OMG, I just checked prices for flights, and they are ridiculously expensive.

I am trying so hard to mix and match airlines, flying out from different airports, etc etc, but nothing is making it any cheaper.

The email says the interview officially ends at 1 PM, but we should leave some time to check out the school/Cleveland. When do you think the earliest we should book our flights out? I am thinking 4PM the earliest if you don't want to be rushed?

In case anyone was thinking about renting a car from one airport and dropping off to another, they raise the price of the rental by like 100 dollars! At least for Enterprise-Rent-a-Car that is what I am seeing. So my plan to fly into Akron and out from CLE international backfired.

I have reading 18 and interview w them sept1.

I also got an invite from Case...haven't scheduled it yet though. I will be calling today so I will write the date in later. I'm glad they do it before the school year starts though because when I saw they only do it during the week I was nervous about how school would conflict.

Interview dat is September 26th for me....looks like I will have to miss a day of school.

Just got email invite to Case yesterday. Interview on Aug 18th!!!

I got an interview invite to Case yesterday as well. My interview is Aug17th. I have a 19/19/22 and my bio section was the lowest, a 17. My OC is a 19 and GC a 20. Reading 22.
Im not even really sure how i got invited. Im still shocked. Im driving since its only a 2.5 hour drive for me from MI.

Congrats!!! You must have some excellent qualities they are looking for other than those stats.
When was your AADSAS application transmitted?

And, does case send out application completed e-mails? Just wondering...

BTW, I got NYU's rejection letter in mail last month (June) for last year's cycle.
They had almost 5000 applicants...

I know that some people have gotten emails from BU, but I haven't yet... My apps were mailed on 7/18, so is that why? Thanks in advance guys!

Probably. My mail date was 6/27 and received BU supplemental a few days later. I submitted my supplemental early last week.

You'll probably get it any day now. I was in the 7/4 group and my BU email came 7/13.

Regarding secondaries or interviews?

I just received the supplemental from BU, nothing else.

wow CASE filled up fast...my interview is on Sept 21. ahhhhhhhhhh so excited! and so scared for my bank account
