UCSF might be a good comparison to Yale; they accept 16 for a class of 12 and waitlist 9. They have gone through the entire waitlist before.
So it seems unlikely that Yale's waitlist won't move! Of course it all depends on how many they waitlisted. By the way, has anyone heard back from Stanford? I suspect/speculate (this is pure supposition, not fact) that they automatically waitlist everyone who is interviewed for the MSTP and accepted by the medical school, but not accepted outright for the MSTP. Anyone able to correct me?

Just wanted to clarify that Yale has not supported the OxCam program for about 2-3 years according to Dr. Blackstone at the NIH. I would imagine they probably will not support the OxCam program this year either, but like I said it does not hurt to ask just in case. That being said, I would definitely not turn down a spot at Yale or anywhere else just in case you get in to the OxCam program as a track 2 applicant two years from now. At that point you could apply for outside grants, etc. to pay for your M3 and M4 years. It seems much easier to be accepted to the OxCam program as a track 2 applicant than a track 1, but it is still not guaranteed you would get in! Good luck with Yale, maybe I will give you better wait-list odds soon
