failed, consequences?

AMG and intern in a surgical program, just found out i failed step 3. WTF. of course this is program dependent but what are the consequences of failing??? 97% of first time takers pass and I'm incredibly surprised/disappointed over the results. i scored 230's/250's on step 1/2 respectively.

is this going to be a huge red flag as i advance along residency???

No consequences of failing Step 3 as far as I am aware of. But what is the deadline set by your program to pass the exam?

any consequences for fellowship? i'm kicking myself for not taking it seriously.

I do not believe there are any consequences for fellowship either
