Default Question about prelim year--Can I come back?

If I complete a prelim year in IM and go on to derm or anesthesia, is it possible for me back as an IM PGY-2 10+ years later? Or would one have to re-do internship again?

As long as it is an accredited ACGME (or AOA for osteopathic) PGY1 year, it should count.

I believe the IM PD will have to apply to the ABIM for credit for prior training. This may help: http://www.abim.org/certification/po....aspx#deficits
