Why did you apply to an OOS school with such high tuition if you aren't willing to take out that many loans? Nothing has changed about the school since last summer.

Just keep in mind that the "next cycle" application is due in like 4ish months. Are you going to be able to make major changes to your application before then, or are you going to be mainly banking on the application pool changing? |

Also something to just keep in mind, everything varies based on the each year's applicant pool. Some years are more competitive than others. For example, I was wait listed at a school post interview last year and flat out rejected this year despite improving my application.
Also, keep in mind that if you turn down the school you're currently accepted to, they might not look in your in favor should you reapply next year. I don't know if the situation of trying to gain IS tuition would alter that perspective, but I've heard of it happening. Wishing you the best of luck in whatever you decide though! The debt is definitely something that shouldn't be taken lightly. I always knew I was going to come out with a lot of debt no matter where I went, so it kind of made it easier to accept. |
