Default Cologne in hospital or on wards?

Good idea or bad idea? Lightly scented, nothing too striking.

Our hospital forbids it expressly, on grounds it can cause respiratory/allergic problems. You might want to check into that at yours.

That's the reason you don't, and it does happen to some patients with these problems

There was an attending that apparently wore the stuff religiously. Most of the work rooms in the hospital were <200 sq ft, so you were aware he walked in within 30 seconds just by the smell.

tl;dr Don't do it.

I wouldn't exactly wear it around the wards. Patients might cringe.

But in formal situations, helps if you've been sweating it out.

Don't do it, for the sake of people who are allergic to cologne (more common than you might think).

Yes to the cologne or perfume. Just finished a 30 hour shift on surgery. After wearing a plastic gown and mask for > 24 hours and sweating, you don't smell too nice. Perfume is better than BO when you can't get a shower.

Yes, because reeking of perfume and BO is so much better than BO alone.

Two wrongs dont make a right.

Dont do it.

Dear god, what are you, a 14 year old boy in gym class? Masking awful BO with awful cologne/perfume is, well, awful.

I liberally douse myself in Axe Body Spray prior to entering every patient's room.

I've garnered Honors in every rotation so far.

Coincidence? I think not.

There was a technological advance recently, and a product called "deodorant" was developed. I recommend you look into it.

shots fired but the only cologne that mixes well with my body chemistry is Burberry Brit-I made the mistake of buying new colognes recently that I regret. Most colognes are entirely too strong for me :/

I must confess that sometimes I lead the charge with Burberry Brit in the a.m. and especially in the cold weather..**But not in the hospital or wards..Always thought it was considerd strong and masculine and could be a possible allergen to some sensitive soul..

Why would you not want to project strong and masculine? Strong and masculine = confidence = people like you and trust you more.

I actually don't think it's that bad. Just too popular.
