Default Applying for a residency in the UK for non- UK students

Hi!

I'm a belgian medical student, and I'm about to start my rotations in Belgium.
Lately I've been thinking a lot about where I want to work for the rest of my life, and I would love to do my residency in the UK.
Is it possible if you haven't been to medical school in the UK?
And if it is, what can I do? Would it be useful to try to find an internhip this summer (or next summer) in the UK? Anything else I can do to prepare?

thanks anyway!!

This is a US forum. I doubt many people would know here. Try international forums.
