Default Step 3 scores for fellowship?

I'm an IMG starting residency this July. I stupidly scheduled my step 3 exam a while back and my eligibility runs out pretty soon. I took the USMLE assessment today and got a 215. Will a bad/average Step 3 score hurt my chances for a competitive fellowship? Should I wait to take it after a few inpatient blocks?

I don't think fellowship programs really look at Step 3 very much. Make sure you pass it the first time, though.

Seeing as though I'm taking it shortly, I sincerely hope you are right!
