Default Denti-Cal Pros/Cons Advice

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
Just got off the phone with a DDS who needs a part-time associate, for which I applied. He is a denti-cal provider and asked if I was. I have not signed up but want to get an opinion from anyone who knows about this program. I went to the website but did not see an "information for providers area"...

1. What are the requirements?
2. Can you "un-enroll?"
3. As providers for denti-cal are your hands tied for choice of restorative materials (amalgam vs composite, etc.)?

Thanks in advance!

My work applied for me, I think the only requirement is that you don't have a bad record. I am not sure unenroll but I would think it is doable. Yes treatment choice is very limited, you will do a lot amalgam unless it is esthetic area. They are very strict about charting and X-rays...the auditors job is to find ways not to pay, I heard it is pain in the butt to deal with them.
