I used OzTREKK to apply to Wollongong back in 2008. They were very friendly and helpful, and the particular benefit was that they waived the application fee. But aside from the free application, I didn't see any clear advantage to going through them rather than going directly.

I found them very helpful and I think that for UQ in particular, you'll know sooner whether or not you get in if you go via Oztrekk. It almost seems like UQ reserves a bunch of spots just for those applicants.
EDIT: I got my offer in mid-May, but then the two week difference isn't much in the grand scheme of things. Last edited by marble30; 05-20-2012 at 06:19 PM. |

I had applied to UQ, not using Oztrekk, in mid-March of 2009 and had received an offer on June 6th at 1am (I only know that because, hey, it's exciting when you finally get into med school). I also know that that was the first week they were sending out letters (bc I kept good correspondence). I guarantee UQ isn't reserving spots for those applicants and the timing of your offer is arbitrary.
