So, many of us are in the same boat with writing applications and brainstorming essay topics, can we make this a thread to post our small victories/ tribulations?

I'll start: I never realized essay writing would take so long. I sound corny as heck and it needs to stop. I'm actually wondering if I should make my personal statement a long poem: it'll be memorable.... but maybe just for all the wrong reasons...

It's redundant to have a "class of 2017 thread" and also an "applying class of 2012" thread
